DEDICATED SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
At Renaissance, we are committed to supporting children and families from the very first step. Our dedicated support begins at the referral stage, guiding families through the admissions process and continuing throughout their journey with us.
We understand that every family’s experience is unique. That’s why we offer tailored support packages—including assistance during tribunal stages—to ensure families feel informed, empowered, and supported.
Once placed within one of our schools, families benefit from ongoing support through our pastoral and SEND teams, who work closely with parents and carers to build strong, trusting relationships. We believe in supporting the entire team around the child, with parents as key partners in their child’s success.
Our offer includes:
-
Admission and placement guidance
-
Tribunal support packages
-
Pastoral and SEND-led parental support
-
Advice and guidance on managing needs at home
-
Help with building routines, consistency, and structure
-
Workshops and coffee mornings to connect and learn
-
Parent support groups for shared experiences and peer support
-
A safe space to talk when things feel difficult

COMMUNITY IMPACT
At Renaissance Education Group, the SEND community is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why our support doesn’t stop when the school term ends.

We proudly offer initiatives with local SEND partners to provide holiday provision for all families within the SEND community, including those whose children may not attend our schools during term time. These programmes provide safe, engaging, and inclusive environments where children can thrive and families can feel supported year-round.

Whether it’s through structured activities, wellbeing support, or simply offering a space to connect, our holiday provision reflects our unwavering commitment to inclusion, consistency, and care—every day of the year.

EMPOWERING POTENTIAL & NURTURING GROWTH
Active Citizens – Our Bespoke SEMH Programme
At Renaissance Education, the SEND community is at the heart of everything we do, and our commitment to personal development is reflected in our unique Active Citizens programme.

Active Citizens is our bespoke Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) programme, designed to support the whole child through outdoor education and visits. It combines careers and employment education (Pathways), mental wellbeing, relationship education, life skills, and fun, creating a holistic experience that empowers students to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

This programme helps young people build confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose—preparing them not just for academic success, but for life.
TRANSFORMING SEND THROUGH LASTING CHANGE
At Renaissance Education, we provide a transformative approach to SEND education for children and young people with Autism or similar Special Educational Needs (SEN), alongside social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges related to their diagnosis.
This includes support for those experiencing:
-
High levels of anxiety
-
Trauma
-
Self-harm
-
Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) or Non-Attendance (EBSNA)

We work with children for whom mainstream education has not been suitable, offering a safe, nurturing, and clinically supported environment where they can begin to re-engage with learning.

Our Wave Approach ensures a gradual and supported reintegration:
-
Wave 1 – Building tolerance to school attendance
-
Wave 2 – Transitioning into the classroom environment
-
Wave 3 – Developing a love of learning

This model is underpinned by:
-
In-house clinical support
-
Academic-first focus
-
Personal development pathways
-
A relational approach that includes family support

We don’t just educate — we rebuild trust, confidence, and connection.
